Danny Murphy has tipped Crystal Palaces Aaron Wan-Bissaka for a big future at one of the Premier Leagues biggest clubs suggesting he could be an upgrade on Kieran Trippier for Tottenham.The 21-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant breakthrough season for the Eagles and has even been linked with a senior call-up to Gareth Southgates England team.
3Wan-Bissaka has been one of the most effective defenders in the top flight this season he has won more tackles (71) than any other player Europes elite leagues this season.He impressed once again in Palaces 3-1 victory over Burnley on Saturday following his return from injury, and Murphy believes he could fit straight into some of the top teams in the country – including his former club Tottenham, where Trippier is suffering.The Spurs defender earned plaudits for his form at the summers World Cup for England, and was hailed as the Three Lions next long-term right-back. But his club form has steadily plummeted this season and he has faced criticism from his own fans for his performances most recently for his horror show in the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.And Murphy suggests Wan-Bissaka could be an option for Spurs, as well as a number of the Premier Leagues top-six clubs.Hes looking like the real deal, the former Spurs midfielder told talkSPORT host Jim White.Hes super athletic and confident in his ability to defend one-on-one, which is ultimately what you do in that position.He can defend but he gets forward and carries an attacking threat as well.
